Problem with Excel 2013

Hi,

This is my first post in this forum. Not sure if I'm posting my question in the right section. In case if it is not, request the moderators to move it to right section or take the necessary action.

I have recently installed Microsoft Office 2013 Standard version. Excel 2013 is behaving weird, when i open the workbook and click on any cell with mouse, nothing is working and the excel window is almost frozen (the title bar of the excel keeps blinking). When I do alt+tab and toggle between the windows and come back to excel workbook, then it is fine and again when I click the mouse on cells the same problem repeats. I have uninstalled and re-installed the software, but the problem still persists. This is happening only with Excel and other applications are working fine.

Need experts help and advise on this problem

As to your problem, I have never had this happen, I am using the full Office 2013 suite, which costs £79.98 a year,..... But many have written about similar problems, some who have used Excel for many years have reverted back to 2010.
Do you still have earlier versions on the same machine this can cause a problem, can you install on another machine. If you still have the earlier discs and codes maybe you could uninstall the earlier versions clean the reg and then install 2013.
Not much help but installing can be a pain.

p.s is your machine up to the required specks, including the OS

Thanks a lot Afarag! Your link helped a lot. There was an add-in which was causing this problem, once I have deactivated it everything was working fine.
