Problem in importing / Link MS Access

Dear chandoo,

I want to import/link an excel sheet into MS Access but the problem is the first row of the Sheet (dump) is merged so the header is being missed out,

Hence while appending data it will create problem , is it possible to remove the first(merged) row without using VBA.plz help....

Un-merge the cells on the first row, as you have found out merged cell cause all sorts of problems, reselect your cells on first row and press Ctrl and the number 1 together then in the horizontal window pick Center Across Selection
