I need your help regarding printing all files in folder through Loop,Excel VBA.

I can create the list of files in a folder into Excel-Sheet, but now I want to print all the listed files directly to the default printer. The files are usually Doc, XLS, PPT, PDF or JPG.

Thanks.

Hi, heela!

First of all welcome to Chandoo's website Excel forums. Thank you for your joining us and glad to have you here.

As a starting point I'd recommend you to read the green sticky topics at this forums main page. There you'll find general guidelines about how this site and community operates (introducing yourself, posting files, netiquette rules, and so on).

Among them you're prompted to perform searches within this site before posting, because maybe your question had been answered yet.

Feel free to play with different keywords so as to be led thru a wide variety of articles and posts, and if you don't find anything that solves your problem or guides you towards a solution, you'll always be welcome back here. Tell us what you've done, consider uploading a sample file as recommended, and somebody surely will read your post and help you.

And about questions in general...

If you haven't performed yet the search herein, try going to the topmost right zone of this page (Custom Search), type the keywords used in Tags field when creating the topic or other proper words and press Search button. You'd retrieve many links from this website, like the following one(s) -if any posted below-, maybe you find useful information and even the solution. If not please advise so as people who read it could get back to you as soon as possible.

And about this question in particular...

This is an Excel website so the part of our question which might be expected to be solved is that for which you already have a solution ("I can create the list of files in a folder into Excel-Sheet"). For the other part ("I want to print all the listed files directly to the default printer. The files are usually Doc, XLS, PPT, PDF or JPG.") files should be open from their default application (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Adobe Acrobat, ...) and printed from them.

With certain file types for whose applications support the COM used by Excel (Office programs, for example) you'd certainly develop VBA code for handling their objects and issuing their printing features, but this is in my opinion very far from the scope of these Excel forums.

Regards!

Hi and Warm Greetings to everybody.

Thanks for your quick reply. Actually, I did go through all topics already posted and solved but I didn't find my answer. There was only one topic about Print Page Setup.

Regarding my questions: I know each file should be opened with its associated application and this is what I wanted your help for; how to open each file through its associated program.Like in windows we right-click a file and send the Print command.

By the way, Thanks for your advise and I will keep looking if any body could post a solution.

Thanks,
