PowerPIvot Error - Evaluating Numbers

Hello,

I keep getting the following error:

"ERROR - CALCULATION ABORTED: MdxScript(Sandbox) (6, 61) The function SUM takes an argument that evaluates to numbers or dates and cannot work with values of type String."

I'm trying to create a PowerPivot using data from a table with the following columns (fields) of data in a table:

CalcPrem

SoldPrem

Both fields contain numbers. The thing is, I only get the error when I try to add "CalcPrem" to the "Values" section of the PowerPivot field list. I'm able to Sum SoldPrem with no problem.

What makes it difficult to troubleshoot is that I can create a regular pivot table using the same data and can "Sum" both the CalcPrem and SoldPrem fields.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Thomas

Hi, txfrazier!

It seems as everybody (including me) missed or skipped this topic, so better later than never... Any chance of uploading a sample file?

Regards!
