Power BI Weekend

hello!
I want to sign up for Power BI weekend and I have a question about the platform needed to attend and get the most out of it. I access Power BI via teams app within Teams itself. Is this different from the Power BI desktop application? Will I be able to take full advantage of the class if I access Power BI in this manner?
 
It's different. Power Query and other more advanced controls are only available on desktop.
Though I have no idea about the content of what's covered in that class.
