Please find below excel picture file date was filtering different format, i need year wise filter

when I am filtering date column. date was not filtering all same format, some are year only and other date like dd/mm/yyyy, I need filter all year wise

illias, this happens if you have inconsistent "data types". The values are not recognized as dates but as text (even though column is formatted as date). Hence Excel cannot filter on "year", because that requires a date.
Try this:
- select a cell with such a date, press F2 and then ENTER. Chances are the data type is now a date.
- also, is the formatting "dd/mm/yyyy" matching your local settings? It might be "mm/dd/yyyy"?

To solve it, try a text to column and define the data type as date.

Hi ,

See the attached file , where you can use the revised data in columns E and F.
