PivotTable: Columns autoresize after refreshing, can this stop!?!

hello all,

I have a PivotTable that when i refresh the data, the value columns resize much wider than they need to be causing the table to stretch onto a second page; also causes my chart located to the right to get pushed around.

Is there a way to turn this off? if not, what is it 'auto resizing' itself to? Each time they change back to the same exact width. If this width is based on something, can i change that!?!

Thanks all.

Good evening jason

Go into the pivot table's Options dialog box and uncheck "AutoFormat Table.

You may also find that if you have titles for your pivot table, the columns in the pivot will expand to the width of the title. After you select a set of cells or enough cells to take the title Press Crtl plus the number one and in the alignment tab in text alignment in the horizontal section choose center across selection...but do NOT use merge..all sorts of problems if you do.

GOT IT!!! ... oh, i see Bob told me too!! hahaha

Thanks, Bob!!

I saw that shortly after posting and it didnt work.... then i realized that my second pvtTable under my first, wasnt changed lol silly me!

Thanks again!
