PIVOT TABLE

I am creating an effort logger pivot table to calculate the total no. of hours spent on a specific project but pivot table returns the no. of cell instead of actual sum.
I also tried changing the value formula from count to sum but still it does not works.
And
there is a blank field with entries in it which are not actually present in the raw data table
It also counts 1.5 as 1 but i want it to count it as 1.5.

Click anyway on pivot table --- go to Field list----Values ---Right on Value ---You will see Value field settings --Summarize value field by sum
