Pivot Table - Report Filter

Hi,


I have pivot table, with Report Filter as Date, and Row Labels as Salesman, and Values as amount.


is it possible to change date in Report Filter of pivot, based on value in another cell (of course with date value)?


The one option i know is macros.. looking for any better solutions..
 
The only solution that comes to mind is VBA.


The good news is, it's so easy it hurts. On whatever action, filtercell.value = anothercell.value.

How are you displaying / printing the date in your report ?


Is it possible to overlay this place with a text box , which is linked to your date cell that you want to be displayed / printed ?

Hi Narayank991, I tried your suggestion its not working that way..


@Dan_I, I agree with you, vba are the easiest way to go for such situation.
 
If u are using 2010 try the slicer option for date. it is not the answer to u r ?, but I guess it will help u
