Pivot Table question (MS Excel 2007 version)

Hi,

I have a big big data base where the first column is "departments", followed by 50 or so columns of "Account Number". The data table has over 1000 lines (don't ask me why there are over 1000 departments, hehehe).

I was presented a request where by the boss wants to see if pivot table can give him a result such that it will have only showing one column of data. and department and account number would show up side by side.

Department 1, account 114, $$$

Department 1, account 123, $$$

Department 1, account 583, $$$

Department 1, account 796, $$$

... (showing all 50 account data of department 1)

Department 2, account 114, $$$

Department 2, account 123, $$$

Department 2, account 583, $$$

Department 2, account 796, $$$

...

on and on until all 1000 departments are displayed.

Questions:

1. Is it possible for pivot table to handle this?

2. If Pivot can handle this, how is it done? I have done it in MS Excel 2003 but I can't find the same way of doing it in Excel 2007.

Please kindly help.

Oh never mind. I figured it out finally.

I move the "Total Value" under Column Labels to Row labels and it is fixed. But I was using a smaller sample. so I'll give it a try to see if Excel can do over 10000 lines.

;)
