Pivot table filter is not sorting all the way

Hello All,


A very unusual situation, I have a pivot table filter that sorts in ascending order on Unit name there are about 581 names and the last four are not following protocol.

G

M

H

I checked for duplicates names, spaces etc and cannot find anything wrong, checked for duplicates, spaces, sorting options etc and no luck.


Does anybody have a suggestion??

Hi Dennis ,


The characters G , M and H at the end of the list may not be English alphabets ; the Russian and Cyrillic alphabets are similar , but their Unicode values are much higher.


To check the above , put in the formula =CODE(A1) where A1 contains this character ; if it is a normal English alphabet character , you will get values from 65 through 90 for the upper-case characters , and 97 through 122 for the lower-case characters. For the other abnormal characters , all of them will show 63.
