Pivot Table Calculated Field problem

I have my transport rate chart as per date and location.Using index and match i have inserted Freight Rate/ton as per location and date in my master cement sheet.When i create a pivot of this data,I insert caluclated field of total qty by summing up two products qty viz OPC & PPC .in order to calculate transporterwise freight amount I have to multiply this qty with the Freight Rate/ton.But my pivot sums up the freight rate for a particular location and then it multiplies.Please help.

Hi nitesh,


Since you have already fetched the rate from sheet named "Rate" why don't you add another column in the sheet "Cement" where you multiply quantity with rate to get party wise total amount, and then create a pivot table?? There will be no need for any calculated field.


Should i upload a worked-out file?

I was going to post but it is the same as Faseeh has suggested just add a sum column for OPC and PPC. Do it this way is far easy than trying to do a calculated fied in a pivot table, plus if you turn the cement sheet in to a table it will easly filter for reports
