Pivot Charts and how to display averages. Is this possible?

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to figure out a way to include an "average" line in a pivot chart and have attached a generic file that I am using with a pivot table in a separate worksheet.

This file has report data, which I am using to create the pivot table and am trying to show an average line in the pivot chart. This average line would be for a normal amount of call I get at work.

Thanks again for your time, help and consideration.

Hi Dave ,

First , can you say which definition of average would be the correct one ?

The attached file has 3 ways of calculating the average number of calls. Which is correct ?

Hi Narayank991,

Thanks for your help and sure let me provide some more info.
The average that I was looking for is based on an average of the tickets that come in for a particular date range. I am now doing reporting and average ticket count is based on the date criteria.

Hopefully I am explaining myself. Let me knew if I am not and I'll figure it another way.

Thanks,
Dave
