Pending Moderation Posts

Hi,

I'm new to the forum and I've recently tried to reply on a couple of threads which are interlinked by the same underlying issue. Whenever I try to include a link in my post and send it, my post disappears - presumably into a 'pending moderation' queue to check that it isn't spam.

Firstly, please can a moderator approve them (there may be duplicate replies). Secondly, how many posts (and/or how long membership tenor) do I need before I can make posts containing links without them having to go through this process?

Thanks,

Colin

Good day Colin Legg

I have released three of your posts, no clear indication as to why they where marked as spam but let us know if it happens again

Hi Colin,

I had also experienced the same, but I found out that by using the HTML "a" markup, I was able to include links / references.

Not sure if that is a foolproof method, but wanted to share it in case it helps you.

By the way, you have a great blog!

Regards,

Sajan.

Two more of my posts have hit the moderation queue. (One of them is a duplicate where I re-tried, so it can be deleted).

It's a little bit frustrating that posts where I try to include a link get queued, even if I use the 'a' tag. Am I doing it wrong?

Good evening Colin

One post unlocked, one deleted, I understand it can be frustrating when you post and it disappears down the spam can, it is not that you are doing some thing wrong it is more that the spam catcher is keen and still being tweaked. In some case links can look like spam depending on the make up of the address if this is the case add quotes to the address line. Any more of your post being spammed just let us know and we will free it.

I think it is better to have the occasional post that is not spam be spammed rather that loosen up the spam hunter to much and allow a flood of the stuff through

Hi bobhc

Spam is almost certainly going to come from a new member with a very low post count. Can't the spam catcher be loosened for members who have a certain number of posts?

Thanks for unlocking it, much appreciated. :)

Good day Colin Legg
