Hi Chandoo et all,

Thanks so much for answering my other questions, really like this site alot. I have a payroll question for you: I am trying to figure out how I go about doing the lunch break if it is in this format: time in 8:00AM time out: :30 min time in: 1:00PM time out 5:00 PM. Thanks as always for your input. Joe, from Michigan.

Hi Joeman187,

See this: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/60644346/Timein-Timeout.xlsx

@Goel: I think he meant to say "30 min Lunch time by 00:30 mm"

Regards,

Kevin@Radstock, deduct pay and sack the supervisor :)but seriously there are many firms that have ridged meal break times and if you are not back at the work place on time they do deduct time.

Hi Joeman

You can use the following formula:

=(B2-A2)*24-(C2/60)

Start End Lunch Time

8:30 AM 5:30 PM 30 min 8.5

Then it would be logical to set your sheet up Start_Time Lunch_Out Lunch_In Finish. Because where I come from, if you had say a doctors appointment, people take it over their lunch time so if they are running late they do not loose much time. Also we have procedures to follow in the UK, so you can not sack people.

Quote "and if you are not back at the work place on time they do deduct time". So how do you account for this!!

@Kevin@Radstock

Hi!

I'm sure that b(ut)ob(ut)hc has an additional column titled "Brought_Carlsberg_to_Supervisor?" that if has a "Yes" overlays anything of that bullshit of time control. But... if it it's blank or has a "No" it not only deducts time to the higher fraction available according to local laws but moves the Employee_Number to the black list for next wipe out, aka downsizing or right sizing.

Regards!
