Hello Chandoo Community!
First off... I am new to the OLAP Tools in excel so pardon my ignorance on this topic.
Okay here is the situation, I have a OLAP cube that was created and now pulled into excel via pivotable/analysis services.
Now I pulled a pivot table where in the rows I have names, then the column I have a numerical value between 1-100.
Since in a OLAP pivot table the "grouping" feature is not available, I am looking to see if i can make a grouping or set to add to the rows.
IE... I would like to say in the rows section, group all names >50 in the numerical value as ">50 Points" and anything less and "<50 Points". I would imagine this is the first thing in the rows field followed by the names.
How can I do this?? Calculated Members? Calculated Set? HELP!
Any advice or help is greatly appreciated!!!
Example:
Initial Pivot Table Groupings
Bob 49
Janna 10
Susan 85
Jim 44
Scott 99
Desired Result:
<50 Points
Bob 49
Jim 44
Janna 10
>50 Points
Scott 99
Susan 88
