Need help with 3 Criteria lookup with Duplicates

I have a spreadsheet I've created that has the data on one table and the lookups on the other.

The criteria I'm trying to look up is as follows:

1. A2, A7, "A". All of this data is being looked up from the data tab. A2= Column C, A7= Column I, and "A" is going to be looked up from Column H.

The issue is that there are multiple players on each team that can be played at OF (column I from Data), and U. This is going to show duplicates. I'd like the duplicates to show.

The result in Lookups Column B is going to come from Data Column E.

I am then going to lookup Columns E through I on row 6 based on the result in column B.

Thanks in advance

I realize this is probably some version of Index Match with Small. I haven't been successful in getting the formula to work for me.

Hi ,

The reason no answer has been forthcoming is that your requirement is not clear.

What do you expect as the output(s) in the column labelled Hitters ? If you can manually fill in the column with the desired output , those who wish to help will have a better idea of what the formula should do.

I've uploaded with a sample result of what I'm looking for. The hitters column result is going to come from the Data Tab, Column E.

Hi ,

Just one output is not enough to paint the full picture.

If we apply the filter of roster_list_abbr = NYY to the data , there is no entry against SS , while against OF there is only one entry ; so what should appear in the Lookups tab against SS and against the other three entries of OF ?

You have shown only one entry against 1B , but the data has 2 entries ; what happens to the second one ?

Narayan- sorry about that. That was a sample of the data. I've attached the whole dataset. See attached.

I filled in most of the data.

Let me know if any questions.
