Need help in stacked bar chart

Hi,

I have some revenue figures which are shown in two ways
1. External and Internal customers
2. Domesctic and International customer

Figures of these two types will always be same. Now i want to show both types of figures in one chart on monthly basis.

Tried doing it with stacked bar chart but all the figures are coming in one bar.

Please help.

For eg Data is
April May June July August September October
External 8 8.5 9 8.75 8.8 9.1 8.87
Internal 2.1 2.2 2.5 2 2.05 2.3 2.25
Domestic 7.8 8.36 8.8 8.7 8.5 8.75 8.67
International 2.3 2.34 2.7 2.05 2.35 2.65 2.45

My aplogies ,if in case i was not clear in my query.

and second data is

if you see in every month total of External + Internal = Domestic + International.

Now my query is i want to show 2 bars one with data of Domestic + International and other bar as External+ Internal for all the month in one chart.

By showing Domestic+ International in one bar I mean two diffrent colour for each in one bar itself.

Hope I am bit clear now.

I had taken the help of helper column highlighted with yellow colour.

I am unable to merge cell values together and put in a chart series, may be other experts over here help you on this.

Thanks Somendra for your efforts but i need it data month wise on X Axis and figures on Y... if it is not possible in stacked bar then any other chart will also be help full.

Hi Somendra,

I managed to get the more or less simmilar result if i put the data in attached format. But somehow chart which has come up is not worth... if in case you have any suggestion please do share.

Hi Silil,

I think sometimes it is better to pick up pencil and paper or drawing using paint-brush to explain what do you want. This could be the best way if we are not following you. In case we are not following, use drawing tools to explain what you are after.

Glad you got your result. I just want to make a general observation of the chart you want Xiq chart is what you want but I think its confusing as a viewer, because if you put in data labels it will became more complex to read and understand. Secondly, you cannot make any trend out of it.

Just give a thought to present the data in a different format, where everything is clear.

It is just an advise, if the chart of this type is a mandator condition for some report, go ahead with this.

I agree but it was the best way out at that moment Actually I think that my requirement was mix of 3D stacked and 3D column chart for which I dint find any best chart.
Anyhow I am still trying to search more ,will certainly share if in case any better one.
