Hi,
need help in getting the below prepared:

requirements:
1. I want the macro to ask the path of the folder where all .csv files are stored from where data needs to be consolidated
2. The main file (in which macro is built) should be updated with data in csv files stored in the folder and its subfolders which the user will enter through Browse prompt as per the Step 1
3. The data should be copied in different tabs for each file
4. The sheet/tab name should be changed to the filename from which the data is being copied

It will be much appreciated if someone can prepare and send that macro file to me quickly. Please let me know if any other info is required.

Check out the "CSV and Text files" section of Ron's code here:
http://www.rondebruin.nl/win/section3.htm

Here's got several "ready built" add-ins and macros that do this type of stuff very nicely.

If nothing else, this will get you all the pieces of code that you need, and you should be able to put it all together fairly nicely.

Thanks for your assistance Luke. I am a newbie here so not able to put together all required codes and few conditions like a prompt should appear asking to browse for the folder where files are stored is not there on the link provided by you. It will be of great help if an excel sheet with code built in can be provided by someone.
