Can anybody help, I want to rename a cell of shapes which start at D2. The names must be from another column which starts at A2. Some of the cells are blank in the D2 column. Can anybody help me?

Hi ,

See if you can reduce the file size by removing unwanted tabs / rows / columns.

If not , upload your file to a public file-sharing site such as DropBox , GoogleDocs , give others permission to access and download the file , and then post that access link here in this thread.

Hi ,

How should these two cases be treated ?

1. Where the entry in column A is nocode

2. Where there are two pictures in column B , but only one code in column A

if its nocode then the picture has to be named nocode and when there are two pictures in a cell both pictures must take name from column A but second picture has to have (2) or _2, like when you download the same file twice and it renames like file.exe file.exe(2). Am I saying this right?

Hi ,

See if this is OK.

You will have to ensure that all the pictures are correctly positioned so that their top left corner is in the correct cell , since the location of the shape , and consequently the name of the shape , is taken from this corner.

I have not used the suffixes 1 , 2 and so on , since this is more complicated ; it will involve matching of the names already used ; instead I have used the time value which is guaranteed to be unique.

I've uploaded my file here https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B7-KTHQOKxupbG0xamdZeVFpTFE
language is different but it basically means the same and columns are different.
If you would do this could you also add comments to the code so that if had to use it for other files I would know what to change.

May I ask you how you aligned picture? Did you do it by hand, or did you use something?

George
Hi ,

Selecting one object , and then pressing CTRL A selects all the objects.

Once this is done , you can select a common height and width for all objects , after ensuring that the following checkboxes are unchecked :

Lock aspect ratio

Relative to original picture size

Thereafter , you can align all of them to the left or right.

Adjusting all of them to be within the confines of their individual cells is something that can only be done individually ; you can make use of the Selection Pane to select each object , or you can use the TAB key to move from one object to the next.
