Hi ,

The formula you have used works correctly in Excel 2007 and Excel 2010.

Can you enter the same formula in a worksheet cell and see if Excel generates an error ?

=OFFSET(Lists!$B$5,,,COUNTA(Lists!$B$5:$B$150))

If there is no error , then it is possible that the name RANK is the problem.

Hi Narayan

I am still getting the same error. I uninstalled Office 2916 and installed 2010. the example i send you was made in Excel 2010.
I now reinstalled 2016 and i am still getting the error. If i put the (') in front of the = then the formula is not working anymore.
as you say it works in 2007/2010, plse make the two named ranges in the example i send you then send it back to me then i will see it it works if I copy the sheets back into my workbook. if that is not working then i do not know any more.

thanx
