Multiple tabs, multiple files - merge

Hi,

I need suggestion in working on multiple files - similar files with different names and has to be merged into one for a particular report. Now I am doing it manually but looking at simplifying the process.

I have a review file which is used with every project. One tab consists of project overview like project no., release no., developer, reviewer, number of LOC before and after review. Another tab has information about the comments given by reviewer and other columns with categorization of comment, resolution, cause of defect, etc.

This type of file is created for every project. End of the month I need to take all the data from each file and merge it to create a report like number of defects raised, no. of defects raised and modified, no of defects raised and not modified, cause of defect percentage,....etc etc. I need to merge two different tabs of same file.

Consolidating the data is time consuming which is manual. Need help/suggestion how can this merging be simplified.
