Moving to another worksheet and automatically filtering the data on one click

Hi all, feel like a complete NOOB here!

I have set up a 2 sheet workbook, sheet1 being a year planner and sheet2 containing a years worth of training data.

I want to be able to click on a particular date on the planner e.g. 02.01.13 and be taken to only the data pertaining to that date on sheet2, so basically a goto and filter all in one go.

Is this possible?

without playing with or seeing how you have both sheets setup..... it is possible. the first thing i thought of was you could make the date be a hyperlink to a named range. granted this would take a lot of manual setup (ie: naming each days range of cells then setting all hyperlinks! hahhaha)


it may be better to have it setup a little differently (this is where it may be helpful to see yours) if you have a drop down or a box where you enter or select the date you could use the filtering tools to just show you those respective training data.

If you want the data filtered with a click you are going to need a macro.
