Mouse click on chart line and read values

Hi excel chart gurus:

Not sure my question is related to this forum or not. I have excel workbook and on one sheet 2 charts (Prices at y axis and dates on x axis). Few line series on each chart. After plotting data, if I hover curser on any point, it shows tooltip with values (X & Y values).
What I want is, when I click with mouse anywhere in plot area, it should read corresponding X & Y values(coordinates) and put them in same sheet somewhere. Process can be just single click or 2 clicks on different locations. In case of 2 clicks, 2 sets of X& Y values need to be read and put in some cells.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Ria,

None of the normal worksheet event macros are able to detect clicks on a chart, so that's our first road block. You could go the route of a class module:

Note that this starts getting into some tricker coding. The example given is to move the chart, but has links to lots of good reading.

Thanks for reply. I am not a programmer and your suggested website make me bit confuse to understand. However, following link:

is bit close what I want. Here, one creates secondary axis scattered line and then move/drag those points on chart (instead of click) and read value from cells. But always thanks and appreciate your response.

Not sure how helpful I actually was, but you're welcome. Sorry I wasn't able to come up with a simpler solution.
