Hi all,
I have a question that I'm struggling to find an answer to, and I'm hoping you guys can help out.
So, I've been creating documents with links to an SQL server database in excel 2013 for use by people in 2010. I've also put together some PivotTables that feed from this data.
Somewhere along the line excel is creating additional data connections not visible for me, but if I look at them on a machine running 2010 they show up in the "existing connections" thing (link to Microsoft's explanation of what these links are - if someone could explain what they're actually doing that would be great too).
For some reason, and I'm assuming it's related, the people running 2010 are unable to update the data from the external data sources - is there something else I need to do to make it work for them? Is it even related to these connections?
Thanks,
George.
