Minute Numbers to be automatically changed to Hours until the last cell

Dear Somendra, Narayan and other Friends,

How do we convert on competition of 0.59 minutes to one hour 1.00 in following cells, again from 1.59 minutes next cell to be converted as 2.00 hours. Again From 2.59 minutes next cell should show as 3.00 hours and the same trend to be continued until last cell of excel sheet. Hence, guide me if is there any formula to fetch the desired result.

I tried in multiple ways, but my attempts were unsuccessful. Attached herewith a sample sheet for your ready reference. Hence, help me out for the same.

yes.. it has to compute automatically once i drag from 0.01 to 0.59 next cell should be 1.00 from 1.01 to 1.59 next cell should be 2.00.

Hi Kumar,

If you considering 0.01 as 1 minute than excel dont treat like it for excel 1 minute is 1/(60*24). So if you want to drag time minute wise, follow this:
In A1 enter 00:01:00
In B1 enter: =A1+(1/(60*24))

and drag down.

Where exactly do you want a formula ?

If you just want cells to be populated by seconds , here are 2 ways to do this :

1. Enter the times 00:00:01 in B1 , 00:00:02 in B2 ; selecting both cells , drag down as far as required.

2. Enter the time 00:00:01 in B1 , and in B2 enter the formula =B1 + "00:00:01" ; copy down as far as required.

Dear Narayan,

Thank you very much it is working now. Can We do the same by using the below dialog Box( Alt+E+I+S) as dragging will consume good amount of time until for last cell.
