Microsoft Option Button Coding

Hi,

I have two group of option button in one group there are 11 option button and in second group it has eleven. second group option button is disable & only get enable when one of the related option button is clicked. I need help in coding to start the timer and pause the timer whenever the option button is clicked. I tried to code but it is giving me only value and not been seen as stopwatch in cell.
Excuse my grammar. see, if you can help me on this.

I am able to see only 3 option buttons , 2 in column A , and 1 in column E.

1. Can you first insert all the option buttons in their respective places ?

2. What should happen when any option button in column A is clicked ?

3. What should happen when the selection in column A is changed by clicking some other option button in column A ?

4. What should happen when any option button in column B is clicked ?

5. What should happen when the selection in column A is changed by clicking some other option button in column B ?

6. What should happen when selection is changed from an option button in column A to column B or vice versa ?

Please explain everything in detail ; your grammar is not really important , what is important is that we have enough information to do what you want.

a) Done

2. What should happen when any option button in column A is clicked ?
a) when colum A button 1 is pressed timer should start running in "HH:MM:SS ms" format in cell d2 & making button in column F disable except cell f2 button.

On clicking on F2 cell button timer should start in H2 cell but d2 timer should not stop and again when click on d2 button f2 timer should stop.

3. What should happen when the selection in column A is changed by clicking some other option button in column A ? if button in cell b3 is pressed timer in any cell should stop and it should run only in d3 cell and cell f3 button to be enable rest disable.

4. What should happen when any option button in column B is clicked ?
a) mention in question no 2

5. What should happen when the selection in column A is changed by clicking some other option button in column B ?
a) mention in question no 3

6. What should happen when selection is changed from an option button in column A to column B or vice versa ?
a) mention in question no 3

There are 4 buttons placed on the worksheet ; what are they supposed to do ?

What is it that you want forum members to help you out with ?

Please explain to the best of your ability , faulty grammar not withstanding ; unless we have a dialogue , there is no way anyone can understand what is to be done.

I am able to coding in button.
Reset - will make all the value to 0:0:0
End - it will stop the timer and if any option button is click timer will start from 0:0:0
stop - it will pause the current timer and when any option button is click it will add time to the cell
export - it will export the time to another sheet

What is it that you want forum members to help you out with ?
If you can help me with how to display stopwatch in cell & pause when other option button is clicked.

Hi Shankar ,

With ActiveX controls , coding is a little more difficult ; it only becomes easy if you use classes.

With Forms controls , especially as in your case option buttons , it becomes very easy , since you can group all the 11 buttons together , and establishing which option button has been clicked is simple since the linked cell will directly output a number from 1 to 11.

For me to do anything more on this is going to take some time ; I hope others will help out. In case you can wait , I can upload your file day after tomorrow.
