Matching up data between worksheets

Hey Everyone, I'm hoping someone might be able to help me simplify my life - right now I'm doing alot of cutting & pasting. I'm trying to match up data between 2 worksheets- each worksheet has ~12 columns of data and varying numbers of rows. I match up the data by looking for unique serial numbers that may or may not appear in both worksheets. The data in each row has to be kept together when moving from one worksheet to the other. Someone had told me about vlookup but I have not had a chance to work with it. Any ideas????
 
Post a sample workbook or give us some more info of where your data is.
