Match not working - help appreciated

I have two lists of urls i want to compare - but match does not find the matches.


Formula is =match(B2,$A$2:$A$4,0) = I only get n/a, although they are the same.


I set the format of url fields to text - still not working. vlookup gives me numbers back, but totally wrong numbers


Formula is =VLOOKUP(D2,$A$2:$B$4,2) (i moved the url to compare into D, and added a row with =row() to get the row number in B = column 2.


If I search (ctrl F) excel wont find the match.


BUT if I check =IF(B2=A4,"true","false") i get a TRUE!


So excel sees them as the same, but cannot search, match or lookup?

If I understand correctly, three url are spread across in the range of B2:B4.


But what is your lookup value?


However, can you plz upload a sample workbook so that we could C what exactly you are doing and where/why error is coming up? To do the dame, plz follow this lik:
