Maintaining Formatting in Dynamic Pivot Charts

I am creating a dynamic pivot chart in excel 2003. However every time I update the chart, the formatting reverts back to the original. I know this is an issue in 2003 and I need to do something with macros in order to preserve the formatting. However I am a complete newbie when it comes to macros so I need some help!

You'll want to start by having the regular boring chart. Then, start recording a macro, and format the chart how you want it to be. Stop recording the macro. For most formatting, this should get you there. You might need to do some additional cleanup, removing lines fo doe that are un-needed (such as scrolling the window up and down). If you're really unsure, you could post the recorded macro here, and we can probably help out a little.
