Macros in DMS

I am trying to combine information from an Impromptu/Excel report to update DMS. I am familiar with VBA and have written some simple macros in DMS, but I am trying to find a way to import information directly from an excel spreadsheet. Does anyone know if this is possible and maybe have a sample code you have used before?

So what does DMS stand for?

It can stand for many things...

Data Management System
Document Management System
Digital Multiplex System
Decision-making Software

To name just a few.

Chances are, you'd have better luck finding solution posting on forum that pertains to particular software/system that you use. Most will have some sort of import capability. If not in .xlsx format, in csv format.

Please note that there are several Document Management System (this is generic name) tools available in the market. The tool your organization might be using may or may not be familiar to us.

"Assuming too much and qualifying too much are two faces of the same problem". Here you are assuming that short form and tool you are using would be exactly interpreted by others which is Chihiro and Marc Co. already pointed out

I would suggest you check if forum is there for the particular tool and post your query there. Here most people will be able to answer the programming part but without the tool it will be unverifiable.
