macro to move rows and columns

Hi

Please can you help me with the puzzle.
I would like to create a column for each data topic and have the relevant data.
I will need to add a file to explain.
I have attached a file that shows this. I have all my data in one column.
I can't work like that.
I would like to create a column for each data type that appears in column D, and then of course move the amount to the correct data type and of course file number in column A.

It is critical that the integrity of the file stays, so the file number relationship needs to stay.

There should no longer be an file number duplication in column A since all data types are in there own column, and I have over 50 data types in my real file.

(this was posted to the wrong forum)
Thank you
David.

Hi !
I can't work like that.
You can, just using a filter !

You result seems wrong or you must clearly explain your "logic" !
(see rows #20 & 25, #22 & 27 …)

Better is to attach a workbook with an initial worksheet &
an expected result worksheet and explain if you want the result
in the initial worksheet or elsewhere and
avoid empty column in the result worksheet …

The data table at the top of the sheet is near perfect for creating pivot tables from. See attached where I've add just one such pivot table below your 'wished-for' table.
