Looking for some help in using "Conditional Formatting"

I am working on some auditing stuff and need to use "Conditional Formatting" there. But it looks like the needed result is not working as expected. I have added the rules but seems I am missing out something there. Any help would be appreciated.

Expected Behavior:

• If the value in A1 is greater than or equal to 0.90 then it should display 100.
• If the value in A1 is less than or equal to 0.89 then it should display 50.

The two rules should be specified as follows :

=A1 < 0.9

=A1 >= 0.9
