Look up value from another worksheets

Dear All,

i have only basic idea about v look up, i tried to do some work my self with v look up function, please help me on these

here i am attaching a file of stock register of 3 months, i want to know the total stock qty, with v look up & pivot table, is that applicable with those both function

You want to get the total stock quantity as on 30th june or total of all 3 months stock as given in ur sheets.?
Do u have any sample output for ur data?

What I did in Excel 2000 is
go to sheet total stock
ALT D P (Pivot TableWizard)
click on "Multiple consolidation range", select the ranges and press add to add the next range
and the finish

Then I changed from count to sum the filed in the the bottom right corner of the pivot table Field list

So I got a consolidated pivot table ...

In a basic approach try this on Total Sheet

=sum('*'!B2)

I need the total stock April, may , june per items in total stock sheet

Item: Qty Month
LCD TV 3 April
LCD TV 1 May
LCD TV 4 June

LCD TV Total Qty will be 8
this the result i want in the Total stock sheet

find attached the file with Deepak formula. You have to type the formula given in one cell and copy in the column. AFter u type it changes to =sum(june:april!B4) ...ETC

this will sum B2 of all non active sheets & after pressing enter i will get converted to SUM(June:April!B2).

You might uploaded wrong wb as there's no formula in total sheet. However i did the same.
