Lock VBA project for viewing - Really?

I have locked a VBA project for viewing in the VB Editor. When I copy the worksheet to a new Excel file by right clicking the tab, selecting move or copy, then create a new worksheet, the VBA project is not locked in the new file and the code is viewable. I understand that Excel files are not very secure, but is it that easy to access a VB project? Is there a way to prevent the project from being viewable when the worksheet is copied to a new file. Thanks in advance!
