Good Morning,
Im developing a project to my university class wich needs to fill a truck in 2D with boxes autoamtically.
We need to recieve and input the boxes size anda then, when we click a button, the boxes need to be drawed in the truck container template.
Can some one work with me on this project and help me to do that ?

Notes: The boxes have different sizes and we have some restictions like phases, some equipments can be overlayed to the top of others, and many others.

Best regards,

This project consists of creating templates with goods in the truck's container. Receiving information about the equipment and entering it in excel, calculate the space needed and organize it in the best way to optimize the number of trucks used, that is, the smallest number possible.

About Your I have almost nothing, I started this project on Monday.
Could You continue working over weekend ... and ...
if You'll be more ready, then ask again.
About Flowchart ... if other needs that then ... it should translate.
About File ... okay ... it would be better ... next week.
= You should have more to offer, that other could help smoother.

Did You search something from Chandoo.org?
I just remember that, I did few years ago this:
Please, use one minute to check some its samples.
file: Container loading simulation.xlsb could have something same.

Thank you so much!
I will check this and then, maybe tomorrow or in the weekend I give a feedback and send my updates.

Thank you,
Have a nice day

This project is just for height, but something i cant understand in why the width of the truck can just be 3 boxes. I saw the vba code and i do not found where is explained why boxes width and length are the same and what value they have. Is possible to put 2 or 4 boxes in width instead of 3 ?

Did You check Packinglist-sheet's Boxes?
Why: Pallets have all same size 64x64 and if I remember - that's the size they are using.
Number of boxes, which can use depends - boxes measures and container's width.
Of course, there could load less than max (three) per width of container - but then there will be empty space.

And is possible to improve width variable for the boxes too, like what was done to height ?
Or that would be so hard ?
In this case we cant have the three columns because width is variable...

Many things are possible to do,
but before that, even You should know all needed details and
understand or find out - what would be side effects if something will change?
You wrote that ... cannot have ... because width is variable
... but if width ... Your pallet area would be fixed too?
... then there could use one size pallet's instead many sizes.
Are all Your used containers same width?

Truck containers have a defined and non-variable width. The boxes to be placed will have a variable width which you want to insert. as for the pallets, they are made to measure for each box. one pallet to one box

If I would start to thinking this, then I should get all needed details ( including realistic values ).
You're writing someway opposite in this thread, if compare Your writing in that other thread.
These are none one minute-hour-day tasks.

Ok sry you are right, I will write in this thread only.
About what you saying, this is a yes to try help me ?
I can give you all information you want!
We need a way to enter equipment data such as name, quantity, and dimensions (length, width and height) is required.
Then the dimensions of the container, which are also length, width and height.
After that, a list is needed that presents all the equipment that we have inserted.
The most important thing is to develop something, in vba code, that restricts the dimensions of the equipment to be placed inside the container in order to make the best placement possible without equipment overlapping.
The number of available containers is unlimited, so when one reaches the limit, another must be added.

I leave below something I found that demonstrates in a simple way what I want in excel.

I'm new to excel and I'd like to learn, having someone like you to help me do this and clear my doubts will be much easier.
This project has a deadline, so I need to do it until the 31st of May, the last day of this month because it's part of my internship.

Thank you for your attention to me,

Is somewhere a sample list of equipments?
... number of equipment, width & length (seems height no matter, if can packet to one layer).
... how much space should left between equipments?

The equipments i send in excel are in tab called Sizes_xx_xx wich are the standard ones in width & length (count them with the packing). The other equipments we need to select the name and insert the dimensions in a form called "Add Equipment".
Height just matter on rc and cc, and the height should be inserted manually.
Between equipments the space need to be 50mm.
