Linking chart title to a cell

In the attached spreadsheet, I want to create a chart title by linking to a cell. I'm linking to cell U21 which has a column heading. However, I want to add to this. I want to add the word "of" and then the value in V13 *-1 (so that the negative is converted to a positive).

I am getting an error. It appears as though concatenation is not allowed when linking chart titles. I also tried using the CONCAT function and I still got the same error.

Hi ,

You are right that chart titles cannot use formulae ; you will need to use a helper cell , where you put in the formula , and in the chart title use a formula to just refer to this helper cell ; thus , if your concatenated formula result is in cell P1 , in the chart title you can use =$P$1 to get the title that you want.
