However, excel 2007 does not allow me to input more than 256 characters of URL in hyperlink formula. As of now, the number of charcters of my URL is 302. i need advise on how can i link 1 cell to a website. And no macro please. thanks a lot!!!

Hi ,

I do not know if a solution without a macro is possible. In case a macro is the only way , then here is a link to the solution :

Hi ,

How are you going to input the URL ? By typing in the 302 characters ? Or by copying the URL from some other document / file ?

For example , one of the posts in this forum has the following URL , which has more than 255 characters ; when I copy the URL into Excel , there is no problem. However , just pressing F2 to edit it and pressing the ENTER key no longer makes it work.
