Keyboard shortcut to copy value (but not the cell)

I use Excel and MS Teams frequently at work. If I copy a cell with a value, then paste into Teams, the value will paste with a box around it, which I presume represents the boundaries of the cell. So when I copy, it's as if the cell itself is copied along with the contents.

In order to paste only the cell's value into Teams, I have to select and copy it in the formula bar. Another way to do this is to press F2, then Ctrl + Shift + Left arrow. Too many keys involved when doing it this way.

Is there a keyboard shortcut (with fewer keystrokes), that can automatically copy only the cell value?

You can use f2 then hold Ctrl and press a then c

There is no built-in shortcut to copy a cell content as text, though you could write a macro for it and assign that to a keyboard shortcut.

I tried that. It didn't work. After pressing F2, the cursor is at the end of the cell value.

Try ctrl+Alt+v. Never tried it in Teams, but you never know it opens the possibility to paste value.

With F2, it is followed with Ctrl+A. That's a select all... @Debaser's solution is valid.

Have You tested below?

The steps to only paste values in Excel follow below:
  1. Select the cell(s) with formulas and press Ctrl + C to copy them.
  2. Select the destination range. ...
  3. Press Excel's paste values shortcut: Ctrl + Alt + V, then V.
  4. Press Enter.

Yes, I read that there is pasting challenge.
It's same as many times.
User copies everything ... pastes it ... and ... surprise, user pastes everything.
I don't use Teams, but it could work ... or not.
... or user could select from cell only its data and after that paste it.
( select cell - select cell's data > only data is selected > paste it )

Hi,

I have this data in Excel and copy it to clipboard
