Is this Excel training good for Google Drive Spreadsheet as well?

Hello,

I use Google Docs and I was wondering how much of what you can learn from this class equates to skills you can use on Google docs. Are they the same/very similar programs, or totally different creatures?


Does Excel have a cloud version as well so you can access and share online like google docs?

As with every thing else that is Google all your data entered in to a Google doc will be kept by Google for use by Google
 
They are similar in nature, as are most spreadsheet programs (ie, OpenOffice). I do not believe Google Docs supports VB macros, and general layout of both tools are different (as in, buttons are not in same space). However, for supporting the type of layout structure you need to use in spreadsheets, formula writing, charting ideas, I would consider them equal.

Microsoft is currently working on setting up a cloud for people to save their data to, (or they've already done it and I'm behind the times), but their are other file sharing options available, such as SharePoint.
