Is It Possible For Conditional Formatting To Only Affect Certain Words In A Cell?

I've noticed that I can manually bold certain words in a cell. But I would like to know if there is a way for conditional formatting to do this automatically, without affecting all the words in a cell.

Basically, I have a list of domains, and I would like to bold instances when a certain keyword shows up in those domains.

In short, no. CF can't affect only a portion of text.

You could write a macro to search through every word and try to change the formatting that way.

You have posted this question here

There is nothing wrong with this, what is wrong is that you are not telling members that you have done so.

This means they will give their time in trying to help, when you could/have received answers to this question, thus wasting forum members valuable time, it is a matter of manners.

The answer you received on Excelforum at 2:20 is the same answer that Luke M has given and if you had done a search you would have seen previous posts were this question has been asked/answered, all the same as Luke Ms answer.

My apologies, I had initially posted the question on both forums at the same time, and did not get back in time to see that it had eventually been answered on the other forum, so that I could post a notification here.

It is all about informing members of the sites you are multi posting to so that they can see your posts on other forums and not waste their time reinventing the wheel.

If you had read the forum rules you would have known this.
