Is it possible for a program a workbook to change based on a drop down box?

Hello, any help would be much appreciated I am stuggling!

I need an user of my workbook to be able to choose one of two options in a drop down box. Depending on the option they choose I need different information from the user. Could I somehow use an IF statement to get certain cells to appear or dissapear based on what the user chooses?

For example if the user chooses "pancakes" in the drop down box I need a box to appear asking them what toppings they like. BUT if the user chooses "eggs" in the drop down box I need a cell to appear asking them how they would like their eggs cooked..

I'm not sure if this is even possible or if there is some way to doing this I'm missing.

If you can help I'd really appreciate it!

Thanks!

I'd have to do some research (dont exactly have the time to do it right now) but i believe you can use the Indirect function in Data Validation to make one list dependent upon the value of another....

hopefully someone else here can help. if not, i always check back and if i get some spare time on my hands, i'll see what i can find out.
