Inserting music notes into Excel

I am trying to enter a beamed 8th note, which are 2 eighth notes connected by a horizontal bar, into Excel. I do Alt + 9835, and I get the letter 'k.'

I tried changing the fonts to Webdings, Wingdings, Symbol, etc. and it doesn't turn into a beamed 8th note.

Any ideas?

Make your music symbols in Word and copy/paste them in Excel.

As far as I know, Excel recognizes 2 alt codes for musical note.
♪ = ALT + 13
♫ = ALT + 14

Hi Chihiro, that is true, that is why I suggested to use word and paste it into Excel (this works for me with a Dutch excel 2016)
