Hello everyone, i came across this infographic
debt-greek-goverment-08-eurobank_efg_9_billion-ncb_13_billion.jpg

and i wonder if i could recreate this in Excel!!

It seems interesting. Any ideas on how to start?

while interesting... IMO, it doesn't convey the data very clearly. I had to get out my magnifying glass(ok, not exactly true) to see that blue semi in front has 11 stacks 'loaded' on it. its also hard to count the number of semi's for each category/company. A chart/infographic should easily/quickly be able to communicate whatever information/data you are trying to point illustrate.

as far as how to do this through Excel, i have no clue.. but would be interesting to hear what others suggest!

what i can see in it is simple bar charts (loaded over trucks) :D

Such fancy chart are misleading (not always but usually) and diverge focus of the readers.

what you could do is create a bar (horizontal) chart for the 2 trucking companies. then at the end of each bar, you could insert a picture of a Semi Cab to make the bars look more like the 'trailers' ---if your example is that much of a direct fit for you

Hi ,

I think we are confusing the main issue ; the data the infographic wants to portray is the amount of debt run up by the Greek government ; this is in no way related to the trucks / trailers.

The 3D graph by itself will not add any value to the basic information.

Poor visualization , if you ask me ; if you see the web-page , you can see for yourself that the graphics occupies a lot of screen real estate , which could have been better utilized.
