Respected Sirs,

We have a three parameters based on which ratings have to be carried out for some employees.

Rate 1 -The first rating is based on years of service or vacant posts.

(a) If the position is vacant or the duration of service is less than 3 months the rating should be 1.
(b) If the tenure is 3 to 9 months the rating should be 2
(c) If the tenure is 9 to 18 months the rating should be 3
(d) If the tenure is 18 to 24 months the rating should be 4
(e) If the tenure is greater than 24 months the rating should be 5

Rate 2 - This is based on current performance
(a) If the grade is C the rating should be 1
(b) If the grade is B- the rating should be 2
(c) If the grade is B the rating should be 3
(d) If the grade is B+ the rating should be 4
(e) If the grade is A the rating should be 5

Rate 3 - This is based on achievement
(a) If the achievement is <80 the rating should be 1
(b) If the achievement is 80-90 the rating should be 1
(c) If the achievement is 91-100 the rating should be 1
(d) If the achievement is 100-105 the rating should be 1
(e) If the achievement is <105 the rating should be 1

Kindly find attached the workbook for your reference with parameters on Data tab and required ratings on rating tab. kindly let me know how to get the required output.

... rate 3 has maybe had some typo's ...

The Rate 1, needs to be checked, if the tenure is less than 3 months and if the post is "vacant", the rating should be 1.
