Index/Match with ODBC table doesn't work unless I edit data and hit enter

I have an microsoft query pulling sql data via odbc back into a worksheet that I'm using for an index/match command. The problem is that it doesn't work (I get a #N/A) unless I edit the value in the sql data I am matching on (item code) and simply hit enter. Once I do that, my index/match command works. However, once I refresh, it goes back to the #N/A.

What is that fixing and how can I prevent that from happening?

Try this:

The index/match is in column I and the table is on sheet2. You can use part # 5000 as an example.

thanks for your assistance.
