iferror(index(match problem

Hi All,

I know I am doing something simple wrong, but really need someone to spot exactly what it is.

I can't seem to get this iferror formula working. All i want to do is return a value in cell c4, based on an entry in C3 from the 2 columns of data. Help appreciated. I have tried different brackets in different places with no luck.

By posting an image of your formula , you have made it difficult for me to copy and paste the formula into either my post or into an Excel worksheet.

Hi Narayan,

Ok, it was a bit tough as the formula was not working, hence I was unable to save the sheet

What I have done is save the sheet without the iferror part in the formula if that helps.

In case a formula is generating an error , and Excel does not accept it , the easiest way out is to insert an apostrophe at the start , so that the formula is accepted as a text string.

Awesome, thanks. couple of rabbit ears did the trick. I will use an apostrophe next time, brain implosion sorry. Great work and fast response. Super
