Hi,
Hope everyone is fine, Im new in this forum and I would like to ask if there is a way I can identify or return a text from a serries of word which is not matching any of the given text.
example: I have series of Document Number from Column A.
Eg.
MD-512-0000-CP-SC-STG-2001
MD-512-06WM-CP-CT-RFP-2001
MD-512-0900-CP-SR-SOW-0001
MD-512-0900-CP-ST-SOW-0001
MD-512-0900-CP-AR-SOW-0001
MD-512-0900-CP-CT-BOW-2001
and I have these code in column B : -AR- , -ST-, -CT- etc... basically these are all part of the document number it self which I used to count how many occurence will be there for each code from the series of document number.

I have a total of 2000 Document number and after tallying the datas I collected from counting per each code I only got 1999 meaning there is 1 sheep missing :D.. now I want to know which one is that by returning the document number itself. Is it possible? I searched all through internet and nothing satify my need. BTW I'm a noob when it comes to excel. thanks for the help in advance.

Hi Narayan,

Thank for you concern, however I already managed to Identify which document number is not included during my counting using those codes. I tried the Text to Columns and separate each character that is having ' - ', then I remove the duplicates and finally I found the missing sheep. It is actually a wrong code, wrong document number and it is the reason why I missed that one. Anyway, if there are some problems I will faced in the future (in excel) I will post here again..

Thank you
