Hyperlink option is not working

Dear Sir,

I am working on a share workbook but my hyperlink option is not working.

Please advise.

Nope. Not really. Only option is to turn off sharing, add hyperlink, then turn it back on. But there's catch. Have a read of link below.

In general, there are too many limitation to shared workbook feature. And many (including myself) will advise against it.

Instead, if you have access to Office 365, use co-authoring feature. Which is replacement for shared workbook feature.

If you don't have Office 365, but have SharePoint. Use Document management feature to work on same workbook (though only 1 person can check out at a time).

Do it manually, with =hyperlink(link_location, [friendly_name]) - it works!

There are actually advantages for using SharePoint?

It does decent enough job of document management.
And it does well enough job as data entry form, without any knowledge of SQL or web form. So it has it's use. Though I wouldn't pay for enterprise license and would just work with SharePoint Foundation (or whatever comes with your Office 365 subscription).
