Is it possible in Excel 2010 to click on a data point in say, a scatter plot, and jump straight to the data point in the tdata table that is driving the chart?
Thx for the reply Narayan. My objective is to be able to identify a data point's source quickly. To clarify my original post, this is a scatter plot question. So it could be a hyper link to the tabulated data where there are more informative data point identifiers or it could be a customised label that provides richer information from the source table. For example in a pivot table scatter plot where i have slicers to filter the data I would like the data labels to refer to a field in the pivot table rather than simply the numeric values of that point.
Can you go through these links and see if you can code it ? If not , please upload your file with some data and a chart in it , and specify what you want done when a point on the chart series is clicked.
